Latest news from Sussex Butterfly Conservation ...
Keith Goodman is leading a butterfly walk at Scotney Castle on Friday the 17th of July (please see details on our Events page) and has kindly offered an addition to the day. For those on the morning walk, and are interested, he is going to lead a walk to different areas of the estate to see more flora and fauna as well as giving information on the social and hop farming history of the estate. The Scotney Farm is one of the last working hop farms in the country.
This would be following a lunch break after the morning session. The Scotney Castle cafe will be open or bring your own picnic.
Sussex Branch of Butterfly Conservation and NT Woolbeding are again joining forces to offer a one day training course in Butterfly Recording.
All the details are in the attached flyer including the email to register yourself for the Event.
Several of the planned walks for 2026 are now posted on our Events Page.
More will be shown as they are confirmed so please check from time to time.
