Photo Competition 2024
Sussex BC are holding a photographic competition open to all members; the results to be announced, and top images projected, at the Members Day being held at the Cyprus Hall, Burgess Hill on Saturday the 30th November.
We are looking for two of your best digital images from 2024 of either butterflies or moths taken in the wild in the British Isles. The closing date for entries is midnight on Saturday the 9th November.
Rules for the Susssex BC Photo Competition 2024
- Entries are restricted to Sussex Branch members of Butterfly Conservation.
- Maximum of 2 entries per person.
- Only digital images will be accepted and should be sent to events@sussex-butterflies.org.uk in jpeg format. Please use “SxBC Photo Competition” in the subject heading.
- All images are to be of butterflies or moths taken in the British Isles, in the wild, during 2024.
- Image files should, if possible, be titled. If unable to do that then please include the information in the body of the email along with details of species, where and when taken and, of course, the photographers name.
- Ownership and copyright of all images will stay with the photographer but SxBC reserves the right to project selected images at the Members Day and display them on our branch Website and Facebook pages - with credits.
- The deadline for entries is midnight on Saturday the 9th November. Entries received after that deadline will not be accepted.
The images will be judged, photographer unknown, in advance of the Members Day by 3 judges who, along with the competition organiser, will not be permitted to enter images.
