Event Title: Martin Kalaher's Storrington Open Garden
Event Description: Due to how well his garden is doing presently Martin has kindly offered to show members around again this year and pass on his tried and tested tips. His well documented garden restoration, with wild flowers to the fore and hence butterflies and other insects in abundance, has always been a popular event.

Meeting Place: Cherry House, Kithurst Lane, Storrington, RH20 4LP. Kithurst Lane is a cul-de-sac and needs to be approached from the east (Monastery Lane or School Lane). The house is red bricked and is 2nd on the left, the first being a bungalow. The What3Words location of the drive entrance is clash.novelist.unclaimed.

Other Info: Members only. Parking is not extensive. Past the house on the left is a laurel hedge where 5 to 6 cars can park, please don’t block driveways. At the start of Kithurst Lane is a lay-by for 3 to 4 cars. If this all fails it is only a short walk from Storrington car parks.

Event Title: A guided walk to see the butterflies of Knowlands Wood, Barcombe , E Sussex
Event Description:

Nick Lear will lead a walk of approximately 2 hours around his woodland near Barcombe in E Sussex.

Target Species: White Admiral is a regular for Nick and at this time of year you could see up to 20 butterfly species. Added to that the bonus of plentiful damselflies and dragonflies with the right weather conditions and there will be much to see.
Meeting Place: We will be meeting at Knowlands Farm Granary, Spithurst Road, Barcombe, BN8 5EF(TQ 42017 16878 - What3Words ///skater.biked.tolerable). The entrance to the farm drive on Spithurst Rd has wooden signs and is at ///written.debut.clumped.
There will be a sign on the drive for the parking area as you approach the farm.

Event Title: Butterflies and Orchids of Fairmile Bottom near Arundel
Event Description:

Martin Kalaher will lead a 2-3km walk to see a good selection of seasonal Butterflies and a nice display of Orchids and wildflowers.

Event Time: 10:00 to 13:00
Target Species: Butterfly species should include Large Skipper, Marbled White, Meadow Brown, Brown Argus, Common Blue, Small Heath and hopefully Dark Green Fritillaries. Overhead should be Red Kites, Buzzards and Ravens and on the ground a fine selection of native flora. The date has largely been chosen for the Orchid display

We will access the site from the footpath here which crosses Fairmile Bottom (it leads on to Rewell Wood). There is plenty of parking in a lay-by on the south east of the A29 just by the footpath. Please note, this is not the carpark further north, called Yewtree Gate, leading to Sherwood Rough.
