Butterfly sighting
Clouded Yellow - Helice
Report Details
Visited one of our favourite Sussex Sites today and spent over an hour trying and failing to photograph some very active fritillaries (at least 3). Whilst we are not certain we think they are likely Silver-washed. Other highlights were an unexpected White Admiral and numerous Clouded Yellows of which one was Helice.

Yet another astonishing record for White Admiral, in the month of August! Right now, any fritillary species record is likely to be a Queen of Spain Fritillary. Howard and Penny, maybe another attempt at a photograph?   Martin K
