Spotted this flying around my garden in East Grinstead - not one I have seen before, so took some pictures. ChatGPT suggested it might be an unusual visitor and possibly a Swallowtail ?

It is indeed a Swallowtail, Daren. An immigrant from mainland Europe. In Sussex, we usually record them on the coastal plain, or the hilltops of the South Downs. Any sighting to the north of the South Downs is very uncommon. Martin K
