Whilst observing our garden Humming-bird Hawk-moth egg laying again on Ladies Bedstraw, an inbound Long-tailed Blue caught our attention. After much fast, erratic flight within our boundary, it settled briefly on BLEP to oblige us with this photo opportunity. In all, it was with us for 20 minutes but might Herald the start of our season proper if it is still nearby and a further male arrives to make a lek or a female drops in.
